Hello June....

I am alive....

Our last day of school was May 21st so I have had a wonderful week off of work. With that time off, I simply didn't get around to posting...I'm sure you all were worried about what happened! : )

That first weekend "off" I went up to see Chris. We had an amazing weekend, like we always do, spending some stress free time together. We went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and I finally found a desk for my laptop! I was so excited!

Last Thursday my mom came down to visit. She is the first person (other than myself) to sleep on my new bed! She liked the pillows the most I think. We had a wonderful time. We went shopping and she helped me pick out some cute summer clothes! Thanks Mom!!!

For Memorial Weekend I went with Chris to visit some of his family (his mom's side) down in West Plains. It was an exhausting but very fun weekend. I got to help feed bottled calves (Chris mostly watched) and we played cards till 1 in the morning. While I was there I received some very bad news. One of my students past away that Friday night. I was completely shocked and was very upset. Chris was wonderful and helped me through the day. We were able to continue on having a wonderful weekend...but the thought of my former student did cross my mind from time to time.

Sunday night when I made it home I wanted to put together my new desk...by myself. I was NOT successful! Yesterday morning I woke up and was determined to do it myself. Finally, after some trial and error.....I got the desk together. It is in my room now and looks beautiful!

Summer School started today and is going much better than last summer. Darin is letting me use his stuff (I used Kaysi's last summer, Darin used Kaysi's this school year and made some changes) so my prep for the class was really easy. We broke down the days and I feel I am in much better shape to finish everything than last summer. Over all, the first day went smooth and I am sure the next 8 will, too.
