I am sad that I don't get to see them very much.....and when I do come to visit we don't have a ton of time to do stuff. I do try to spend some of the time talking to my sister and my mom, trying to catch up on things. Sometimes we (the kids and the grown ups) just sit and watch a movie together. Nothing big.
But, when I do come to see them they are always so excited when I walk in the door. It always brings a smile to my face. Hearing them yell "Aunt Sonnie! You're here!" and getting that big hug is the best thing ever! Even Gabriel is starting to come to me and give me that little hug around the leg.....super cute.
What I love the most though......is knowing they think about me even when I am not there. My sister this morning told me that Caleb was sick (poor thing) and this is what he took with him to the doctor's office.

That is the bear he got the first time I took him to Build-A-Bear (if I remember right). It makes me think that maybe a small part of me is helping him feel a little better. I hope he (and Sarah and Gabriel) always know how much they mean to me.

Aww...what a sweet post! Yes, it was the bear from his first birthday! He told the doctor that his bear was sick, too, so the doctor checked the bear the same way he checked Caleb! ;o)
ReplyDeleteHe has an ear infection. It was horrible this morning, but he's pretty much back to his normal self now!
Funny, most of the time when Chrissy brings the kids to my house, the first words out of their mouths are, "Is Aunt Sonnie here?" Very disappointed when I tell them no.....Happy Birthday, Sonnie!!
ReplyDeleteYes, they would love to see her. Too bad they don't.
