Excited and Happy!

Right now...there are times when I am so happy that I feel like I could bust! It seems like I just cant hold it in and I need to go outside so I can scream at the top of my lungs how wonderfully excited and elated I am. But words don't really express enough of how I feel. I find myself saying the same thing over and over and searching for a more accurate explanation for whats inside. I mean how weird is that....I get frustrated because I feel like I cant express well enough how happy I am. Tough problem to have...I know!

But on Sunday, my preacher back home asked me how things were going and my impulse response was "Scary good!" and I went on to say that things are so good right now that I worry when the "bad" will finally come around. I mean, no ones life is perfect and good for that long. Things happen. And my preacher completely understood and shook his head yes agreeing with my concern.

I then told him that I would just live in the moment...this happy and perfect moment...and try not to worry about everything crashing down at some point. Try not to think about that possibility.

I hope this moment lasts for a while.

  3. Kind of a downer reply... :(

My guess is that Sonja is just excited about how great things are going and I think we all have those feelings of "it's too good to be true" or "waiting for the other shoe to drop." Seems perfectly natural to me.

Humans tend to expect all things to "work themselves out" and the "good will always go with the bad." I know I feel very similarly to how Sonja feels right now. Can things really be as good as they seem?

That doubt isn't anything more than my way of grounding myself and reminding myself how great things are. I really have no expectation that something bad will happen, but just that I have those thoughts helps to remind me how great it is now...

I'm excited for Sonja (and me, of course) and wish her moment will last longer than anyone could hope for.

    Chris
