The weekend...

Friday night was WHS Graduation. I was pretty exciting to be a part of that my first year of teaching. They had the faculty (who ever wanted to) march in ahead of the Graduates and we sat on the floor with them. Most teachers who walked in had hoods from their masters so that was really neat to see. I do not have my masters yet and pretty much looked like a student, but that was ok. The student speakers were wonderful and the choir performances were perfect for the occasion.

After Graduation was over I had a perfect Friday night....

I picked up some fast food, went home, let the dogs out, put in season 8 of Friends, and just sat on the couch with my adorable dogs. It was a very exciting Friday night if I do say so my self.

Saturday I slept in! Like, REALLY slept in. I cant remember the last time I slept till noon. I, of course, got up around 7 to let the dogs out and then again around 10. But, I was able to quickly fall back to sleep after they came back inside...which never happens for me.

When I finally got up I decided to go get some coffee (yes, Starbucks) and my room mate just so happened to have a $5 gift card he didn't want, so he gave it to me! : ) It was like Christmas for me! After I got my Starbucks I realized it was time for lunch and with McAlister's so close by I went to pick up something to take back to the house. I was on the phone with my mom and not paying attention....and I ended up locking my keys in the car. AGAIN! I have to hold a record for number of times I do that. I had to call my room mate and he brought me my spare key! He really was a life saver this Saturday.

When I finally got back home I did a few things from my Weekend To Do List and watched some more Friends. It was a pretty easy going day after the key drama was over.

Sunday I got up much earlier....around 7 a.m. which is much more "normal" for me. I went to the living room and turned on the TV. I put season 8 of Friends back on (since In the Kitchen on QVC wouldn't be on for another couple hours) and continued to do a few things from my Weekend To Do List. Can I just say....my hall closet looks SO much better! And my living room is like a completely new space. I hate cleaning, but it is so worth it when your done.

After a while I was tired of being at the house and needed to get out, so I went to Target! I should really not be allowed in that store. I love EVERYTHING. I ended up getting some much needed accent pillows for the couch and love seat. They are so pretty.

By that time Nichole came over and we just relaxed in the living room for a while. Nichole is going to be staying at my house for a few weeks while she takes an Intersession class at MSU. It will be nice to have a girl around I think.

The high light of the weekend? All the smoke detectors' batteries going out last night and having to pull them off the ceiling. Uggg! Will have to buy like 5 batteries after school today to put in all of them.
