Most people know this about me, but I am a HUGE Buffy fan. I have all 7 seasons on DVD and I often take a couple months to watch them all. Beginning to End.
I have a few favorites!
Primeval, when Buffy, Willow, Xander, and Giles calls on the past slayers to help Buffy kill Adam. I love that one for the effects. Its unlike any of the other Buffy episodes.
Wild At Heart, when Oz leaves Willow. One episode I cry EVERYTIME at the end.
I only have Eyes for You, when a haunting brings Buffy and Angle back together for a moment.
Hush, when everyone in Sunnydale lose the ability to speak and is when Riley and Buffy find out about each other.
I think I will stop there. There are a few more that I LOVE and could list right off the top of my head but its not the reason for this post.
Passion is one of my all time favorite episodes because of what Angle says about passion in the beginning, middle, and end of the show.
Angelus:
"Passion. It lies in all of us. Sleeping...waiting... And though unwanted...unbidden...it will stir...open its jaws, and howl.
Passion is the source of our finest moments. The joy of love...the clarity of hatred...and the ecstasy of grief.
It hurts sometimes more than we can bear. If we could live without passion, maybe we'd know some kind of peace. But we would be hollow. Empty rooms, shuttered and dank...
Without passion, we'd be truly dead."
Ahh! I love it. The people in my live know how I am when it comes to passion and the things I love the most. I agree with Angelus....without the people and the activities I am most passionate about in my life, I would be truly dead. Just going through the motion on life.
And while sometimes moments can be more painful that we think we can bear...the passion is so worth it in the end.

ReplyDeleteI LOVE BUFFY! Oddly I really liked the musical episode with Buffy and Spike. Odd, I know. But I loved it. Actually, after a while I just feel sorry for Spike all together. I feel even worse for Angel when he breaks off into his own series and how Season 5 ends. :-(

Well, needless to say I have sat and watched all of them with you. I love the drama of Buffy having to Kill Angel, Buffy dieing for Dawn when she jumps off the bridge...but I too love it when she kicks the "____" out of that dude when all of the slayers lost hope in Buffy and she proved once again Buffy is Buffy...I loved the one when Buffy and Angel were able to spend a day together...but she did not get to remember that. White popcorn and Buffy go GREAT together.
