Its finally done!!!

When I first moved into my house I knew there were a lot of projects I wanted to do to make the place look more homey and more like ME. I never realized how much time each project would take and how grateful I would be to the people who helped me.

Painting the was main thing I wanted to do to my house. It is the "easiest" and "cheapest" way to update and change the look of a place. The guy who lived there before me had done nothing to the place so I was starting with a clean canvas. I put easiest and cheapest in " " because during the process it did not feel easy or cheap at all. The first thing we (my mom and dad came down to help and the guy I was dating at the time Aaron was a HUGE help) did was paint the kitchen cabinets white which made the kitchen look so much cleaner but it was a HARD job. Then was the living room, painting it this olivey brown. A month later my sister came down and we painted the hallway...the same color as the living room.

My house has looked like that for a couple months...with the last part of the painting project, the kitchen walls, on hold. But this weekend it finally got finished!!!

My mom and dad came down again to help me with the project. My dad, and is BFF Ed, put in a garbage disposal that I bought with Christmas money...I know, not the most fun way to spend Christmas money, but it was what I really wanted. While they did that my mom taped and cleared out the kitchen. When the men were finished they headed to Bass Pro and my mom and I stared painting.

It was a fun and easy going day. We worked hard and were so happy at the end to see it done. A project I can finally check off my "House To Do List" Woo Hoo!!!

When I woke up Sunday morning and walked into my kitchen I smiled. It look exactly how I pictured it would in my head when we first started. I am so glad I had people to help me, my mom, dad, sister, and Aaron, or else I don't know if it would ever had gotten done.

Next painting project will start during Spring Break. Painting my bedroom (Carrie Bradshaw apt) Blue! Which I got a color sample to try on my wall this weekend....very excited.

Eventually Id like to post pictures of what my house started out looking like and what I have done to it. Maybe this summer when more of the "to dos" are finished.
